The Project Knee is the first and only knitted compression fit protection knee sleeve on the market, allied to our renowned CE EN 1621-1:2012 Level 2 Type B protective pad and capped with ground-breaking micro-inject outer protection results in the most advanced knee protection system on the market.
KNITTED SLEEVE
The Project knee pad's knitted sleeve gives our design team the control to perfect the 'compression fit' for each individual size. A secure fit to ensure stability and comfort, without being too tight which can increase fatigue and decrease flexibility. A whole heap of work has gone into making this our most secure protective pad - but with the freedom of movement essential for the world's rowdiest riders.
CENTRE STRAP SYSTEM
To remove bias from a side-loading strap our centre strap system is designed to apply even pressure around the lower thigh. The strap offers a comfortable addition so riders know their pad will stay in place all day long, allowing them to concentrate on riding.
CE EN1621-1:2012 LEVEL 2, TYPE B PROTECTION
The Project Knee is EN1621-1:2012 LEVEL 2, Type B certified. What does this mean? There are two levels of protection that can be certified Level 1 and Level 2. Level 1 allows for ≤35KN to be transmitted to the rider whilst level 2 allows a max of ≤20 KN to be transmitted to the rider. Type A or B refers to the area of protection, Type B giving greater coverage than Type A. Where 7iDP win is that we make Level2 Type B pads that are more comfortable than our competitors Level 1 Type A pads!
MICRO BEAD RUBBER PROTECTION
The Project Knee's micro bead outer protective layer blends the advantages of a hard shell (less penetrative outer) with the advantages of a soft shell pad (malleable and less restrictive), This technology is unique to 7iDP.
